Sweet Summertime

Whoo! What a busy summer we are having! Everyday seems like it's a new adventure. Swimming, playing, touring. We love summer! Well, we love summer, minus the heat. It's been sweltering hot here. It was 104 degrees on Friday. Crazy. I definitely can't wait for the Fall. But, we are managing to keep cool by going to the pool, museum, and library. Abigail is becoming a very confident swimmer. Maybe next year she won't even need to hold my hands while swimming. My little girl is growing up so fast! Here are some shots from our fun summer, thus far.

Independence Day!

Philadelphia is definitely the place to be the week of the fourth! There were free activities all week long, including, free admission to museums, a hot dog cookout, an ice cream party, a Goo Goo Dolls concert, and a hoagie that was over a mile long! Of course, there were also lots of firework shows all around the area. We didn't make it to all the events, but we did make it to some, and we had a great time! Abigail and I walked in the Upper Darby Independence Day Parade. I tried to get her to ride her bike through it, but after the late night of firework watching the night before she was not wanting to ride her bike at nine in the morning. We made it to two firework shows; Upper Darby and Narberth both put on spectacular events. While it was a fun week, it was also a sad week because it was our last week with our dear friends, the Page family. They moved to Arizona so that Brian could start his new career as an E.R. doctor. While we miss them dearly we know that there are lots of awesome things in store for this family. We all love you Julie, Brian, Courtney, Jessica, and Allyson!
